We are a group of parents, passionate about supporting other parents with navigating their breastfeeding journeys. We are all volunteers, with our own families, and we want this community to feel like the supportive space every parent needs.
La Leche League is a Worldwide charity that values mother-to-mother (or parent-to-parent) support, evidence-based information, education, and encouragement. And we want to bring this to Warrington and its surrounding communities.
Support begins with you being the expert in your own baby.
Our accredited LLL Leaders have breastfed their own babies and completed comprehensive training to help you on your feeding journey.
Between our volunteer committee, we have faced our share of challenges, including: jaundice, tongue tie, breastfeeding after caesarean section, tube feeding, SNS feeding, expressing breastmilk, supplementing with formula milk. We have also navigated the wonderful world of toddler nursing, stopping breastfeeding and natural-term weaning from the breast.
And also between us, we have all accessed support that has let us continue on our journey in a way that works for us. We have seen our challenges move towards joy through overcoming obstacles, building a supportive community, advocating for our children, forming friendships, and when needed, being supported to shift our goals along the way.
