Hi, I’m Kirsty. I’m a mum of two little people, aged five and two. I breastfed my eldest until they were 2.5, and am still going with my youngest with no plans to stop!
We had a lot of issues at the start of our breastfeeding journey, including a c-section, sepsis, jaundice and tongue tie, and got through them with stubbornness and a lot of support.
I’ve been volunteering with La Leche League for 4 years, and recently took the next step, training as an Accredited Breastfeeding Councillor. Breastfeeding has been such an important part of my parenting life, and it’s nice to be able to support that for other people. I’m very lucky to have a great co-Leader and Volunteer Team to do that with 😊
Outside of work and volunteering, I like to read and watch TV, spend time with my partner and kids, and see friends.
